PLAYGROUND FLOORING

Check our dedicated play surfaces website where you can download a playground flooring brochure.

Playgrounds are where fun begins, and a safe playing surface is essential to prevent unnecessary injury. The best playground flooring systems absorb shock and are non-slip in wet conditions to protect against injuries.

You have a few options that meet this criteria. The first is our EUROFLEX modular tile system, which utilises rubber tiles in thicknesses up to 30mm. These tiles are perfect for any level surface and can be applied over concrete.

Another option is EPDM rubber, also known as wet pour. This is the most popular playing surface today. It’s available in a range of colours and is made from recycled rubber granules which are bonded (melted) together to form a solid floor.

Lastly, SPORTEC UNI Versa is an excellent playground flooring solution that’s designed to provide maximum performance in activity areas. We recommend this flooring system if you have running tracks or sled lanes.

What Is The Best Playground Surface Material?

Nowadays, there is a better option for protecting children from injury – rubberized safety surfacing. This material provides an excellent cushioning surface that absorbs impact forces so kids don’t get hurt as easily on their way down from slides or climbing up stairs.

It also has anti-slip properties that make it easier for kids to grip onto surfaces like monkey bars or ladders without slipping off.
